My Hero

A while back before I had kids I had this little tiny book to help me get in shape. I used this book faithfully everyday, took it to the gym. In six weeks I went from a size 14 to a size 8. Then someone stole my book and I lost my compass. Life got busier and I forgot all about it until this Christmas. With the magic of the internet I was able to find this book on Ebay for a $1.00. The author of the book is Joyce Vedral. She even has a website at www.JoyceVedral.com. The picture is her at 65.

Taking care of yourself is everyone's business

Sometimes you can look at someone who is in shape and think, well, it is easy for them and not for me. I have issues why I cannot take care of myself. Actually some of the problem is about time management. We simply don't place working out as a hight priority. When I go to a gym and I can look around and see alot of in shape people, and when I do one thought hits me. "They are in shape because they are in the gym." Duhhhhhhhhhhhh....................... of course, look at some restaurants especially ones that have high fat menus, you might even spot some fat people there, they are probably fat, at least for some part because they are there in that particular restaurant, another duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............... moment.

2 Years Later and Still the Same

I have come to the conclusion nothing will change for me unless I do the changing. First I change my mind, then I change the rest of my life. Taking it one step at a time I decide to change.

Today is the day after Christmas and it is not just about weight loss, it is about living life. This new year I should be better educated, look better and have more meaningful relationships in my life because I am going to set my mind to do just that.
